Scam Advertisers:
Please be aware there are numerous pet selling scam operators who are frequently advertising!!
Be alert to any individual or business who will not reveal a physical address or names other than a website or business name.
Always ask for their registered Prefix name and which organisation they are registered with, then Check with that Registry.
Check the Breeders lists on the Registry’s website compare any contact numbers or email address.
They will often request large payments upfront for kittens. It is highly recommended that you do adequate research about any cattery and individual prior to sending money.
Scammers creating a sense of urgency or offering great deals.
with toys, beds, bowls, litter trays etc being part of the deal, or claiming others are interested in same kitten. This is to get quickly their cash, they then disappear!.
No phone contact.
The seller prefers to handle communication by email and not the phone or in person.
Sketchy payment.
Asks for the money to be wired or via gift cards. Be aware that if you choose a non-secure method of payment, it is highly unlikely that you will get your money back.
